WHO ARE WE ?

We are a team that came together for the October 11th International Day of the Girl Child Conference  Organized by the Aydın Doğan Foundation in cooperation with UNICEF, UNFPA and UN WOMEN.   Our vision is to contribute to the achievement of the goal of not increasing the world temperature average by more than two degrees, determined by the Paris Agreement signed within the scope of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change in Paris in 2015, and to raise awareness on this issue. Our mission is to make informative and awareness-raising activities about the cause, results and solutions of the climate problem by using social media tools effectively in order to increase individual awareness. #TwoDegreesDoesntBelongInOneWorld!

MANIFESTO

TWO DEGREES DOESN'T BELONG IN ONE WORLD We must prevent the world temperature average from increasing 1,5 degrees. If this temperature average will be even 2 degrees higher we will come up against with irrevocable consequences.  Nature will always find a way to remind us if we forget that we are one of the working wheels of it. The delusion of human beings as a commander will cause nature to be known as subservient thus it will be worse for the earth. However human beings must be adaptable as well as the other creatures.  Otherwise first but not least we have to pay the price of climate change. We might take leave from a different world whether the temperature average keeps rising. Forest fires, floods, disruption of ecological balance, extinction of species, regional droughts, epidemic diseases, extinction of water resources, seasonal disruptions, extreme climate conditions… Nevertheless each one of us has the power to change the ongoing situation for the better a...
